Western New England University students enjoy a wide variety of dining options served up by ARAMARK, a leading provider of food service for colleges and universities, sports and entertainment arenas, and conference centers.

Enjoy your all-you-care-to-eat meals here. You'll find an abundant variety of fresh foods prepared for you each day. Great exhibition cooking, authentic ethnic dishes, a culinary twist on old American favorites, and a variety of healthy options all combine to ensure that your dining experience in no way resembles eating in a cafeteria.

Rather than the typical cafeteria lines, you will find a variety of individual stations including the following:

Produce Market
The salad bar is no longer just for starters—sometimes it's the whole meal. Select from a wide array of fresh-cut vegetables, dressings, and toppings to create your own salad.

The Italian Kitchen
In the mood for Italian food? No need to order out, we've got authentic New York-style pizza, calzones, sausage rolls, and pasta casseroles—all prepared with fresh ingredients and a touch of flair!

The Grille
In keeping with the latest restaurant trends, The Grille features lighter and healthier items to complement the No. 1 ranking hamburger. Philly-style sandwiches and fresh-cut fries with dipping sauces add some spice to the mix.

The Sandwich Shoppe
Looking for a meal on the go? Stop by the Sandwich Shoppe for over-stuffed sandwiches, freshly baked breads, flavored wraps, and Panini.

The Comfort Station
This modular station features traditional favorites like rotisserie chicken, roast turkey, cornbread, and five-cheese macaroni—just like home cooking!

POD and Java City Espresso Kiosk
Your convenience store is located in the center of student activity on the first floor of the Campus Center, right around the corner from The Rock Food Court. This location offers a wide array of snacks, candy, drinks, grocery, and housekeeping items for residents and other members of the college community. Additionally, at the Java City Kiosk, you can enjoy fresh roasted coffees, espresso, lattes, blended Italian sodas and upscale pastries and desserts. Fresh sandwiches, salads, and snacks are prepared daily.

Completely renovated this summer, the Rock Food Court offers casual, a la carte dining. The Rock features delicious Subway  sandwiches, subs, and wraps prepared on freshly baked bread. Enjoy hot Panini sandwiches, Grille Works grill items, and Bene Pizza and Pasta specialties. In addition, you can enjoy our fresh bagels—available all day long, homemade soups, fresh salads, and tasty grab and go items. Declining Balance (DB) Points and cash are accepted here.

Dominos Pizza
You can use your DB Points to order hot fresh Dominos Pizza, breadsticks, and refreshing sodas.

Meal Plans
Our Meal Plan allows you to enjoy all the great dining privileges we have in store for you. Your student I.D. card is encoded with your meal plan information which allows it to function as your dining card.

Freshman and Sophomore Meal Plan
All first-year (freshmen) students participate in the University's traditional 20 Meal Plan. This provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Monday through Saturday, and Sunday brunch and dinner. Participation is automatic and is covered through the room and board fee.

Returning students (sophomores) are assigned to the 20 Meal Plan, but may elect to participate in an alternate 14 Meal Plan. This plan allows for any 14 meals per week.

Declining Balance (DB) Pointsfoodservicesphoto2javacity.jpg
Additionally, we offer Declining Balance Points, which are accepted like cash in all dining locations. They work on the same principle as an ATM or debit card. You can use your Points for beverages, snacks, or full meals at any time. Points are equivalent to dollars, and balances carry over from fall to spring. Purchasing Declining Balance Points is a great value and safer and more convenient than carrying cash. Sign up for DB Points at Student Administrative Services.

Other Meal Plans
Most junior and senior students reside in Gateway Apartments or Evergreen Townhouses, which have fully equipped kitchens. These students usually select a smaller plan and/or utilize DB Points.

Please Note: DB Points will only carry over from the first semester (fall) to the second semester (spring). DB Points do not carry over to the next year. All meal plan "meals" expire at the end of the semester. Meals do not carry over.

Food Service Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up?

You have already been registered as a Meal Plan Participant, and do not need to do anytrhing "special" when you arrive.

Where do I buy Declining Balance (DB) Points?

DB Points can be purchased from the Student Administrative Services Office. Then, bring your receipt and your ID card to the Dining Office.

What do I do if I lose my Dining/ID card?

Lost cards must be reported immediately to Public Safety (413-782-1207). You can obtain a replacement card at Public Safety Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Can a friend use my Meal Plan Meals or DB Points?

For your protection, Dining/ID Cards are not transferrable.
