The D'Amour Library provides students with access to millions of pieces of information, through on-site availability, cooperating institutions, and electronic reserves.
The Western New England University identification card also serves as a student's library card; all that is needed for activation is a personal identification number (PIN) assigned on a student's first visit to the Library. A PIN is needed to facilitate electronic check-out of materials and to allow students to access electronic resources.
By reciprocal agreements, a Western New England University library card will be honored at the Cooperating Libraries of Greater Springfield. These libraries include: American International College, Bay Path College, Elms College, Holyoke Community College, the Springfield City Library, Springfield College, Springfield Technical Community College, the Western New England University Law Library, and Westfield State College.
When classes are in session, the D'Amour Library is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon until 12:00 a.m. Special hours during holiday and examination periods are posted at the Library and online in advance.
The University's online catalog, WILDPAC, is accessible through the Internet within the Library and from any computer with Internet access. The D'Amour Library's website is http://libraries.wnec.edu/.
