In class you may learn about marketing, teaching, or engineering.But what is it really like to work in those fields or others on a day-to-day basis? When you participate in an internship or field experience, you’ll work side-by-side with professionals and learn about future career paths.

Internships
Student Teaching
- Non-compensated pre-practicum field study required of elementary and secondary education students in their sophomore or junior year and full practicum study in their senior year

75 hours for pre-practicum/300 hours for full practicum
Field Studies
- Open to students in social work or sport management majors
- Participating students must have a G.P.A. of 2.5 or better

120 hours per semester (3 credits)
Senior Design Projects
- Every student enrolled in the College of Engineering is required to complete a comprehensive senior design project
- Projects may be for a semester or an entire year
- Students can earn 3 to 6 credits
- Engineering majors may also participate in internships if their schedule allows, many students choose to do internships in the summer between their junior and senior years
