Internships and Hands-on Learning:

Putting Theory into Practice

In class you may learn about marketing, teaching, or engineering.
But what is it really like to work in those fields or others on a day-to-day basis? When you participate in an internship or field experience, you’ll work side-by-side with professionals and learn about future career paths.

Western New England University works with a network of over 1,500 businesses and organizations where students can do field work, conduct engineering design projects, student teach, or participate in internships.

Our "hands-on" learning experiences include:

  • Non-compensated work for credit programs available to juniors or seniors in a variety of majors
  • Participating students must have a G.P.A. of 2.5 or better
  • 120 hours per semester (3 credits)
