The D'Amour Library provides students with access to vast collections of information through on-site availability, electronic resources, and agreements with cooperating institutions.
The Western New England University identification card also serves as a student's library card; all that is needed for activation is a barcode and personal identification number (PIN) assigned on a student's first visit to the Library. The barcode and PIN are needed to facilitate electronic check-out of materials, to access online faculty reserves, and to allow students to use electronic resources from off-campus.
By reciprocal agreements, a Western New England University library card will be honored at the Cooperating Libraries of Greater Springfield. These libraries include: American International College, Bay Path College, Elms College, Holyoke Community College, the Springfield City Library, Springfield College, Springfield Technical Community College, the Western New England University Law Library, and Westfield State College.
When classes are in session, the D'Amour Library is open Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m. until 12:00 a.m., Friday from 7:45 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon until 12:00 a.m. Special hours during holiday and examination periods are posted at the Library and online in advance.
The University's online catalog, WILDPAC, is accessible through the internet within the Library and from any computer with internet access. The D'Amour Library's website is http://libraries.wne.edu/.
