Are you exploring ways to share your time and talent with Western New England University?
Here’s how. Get involved in the Alumni Association: its programs and activities are designed to increase lifelong alumni engagement with the University and with each other—and help students get the most out of their University experience. Attend regional alumni events in your area or host one of your own. Help plan your next class reunion. You can also recruit future Golden Bears at college fairs by participating in the Alumni-in-Admissions program.
We have many volunteer opportunities. Share your career experience and advice with students: our Sophomore Career Connections program, for example, links sophomores with alumni in the greater Springfield area for mentoring and job shadowing. Another program, Alumni Links for Career Success, enables seniors to network with College of Business alumni, and business alumni also mentor students in the annual RealTest Event. There are Engineering and Law mentoring programs as well.
Host a student intern at your company. Speak to a class or participate in an alumni panel discussion: students will benefit from your expertise. You can even help welcome first-year students on move-in weekend!
If you have other ideas about how you’d like to get involved with Western New England University, don’t hesitate to share them with me at email@example.com or call me at 413-782-1478. Haven’t been back to campus for a while? We’ll be glad to give you a tour so you can see the many changes at the University.
Show your Golden Bear pride everywhere you go. Simply download the image and start snapping photos with Flat Golden Bear! Send them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or tag us on social media. Be sure to join our Facebook and LinkedIn pages for the most current news about your alma mater! We look forward to seeing you at an event, volunteering on an alumni committee, speaking to students, providing an internship opportunity, or being a mentor!
