What skill set or characteristic do you possess and how will it benefit the Association?My varied professional experiences in both the military, private industry, and as a federal government employee have given me an vast set of resources that provide insight to provide recent graduates the skills to be successful in their future careers.How have you been involved with the University as an alumnus? (e.g. events, volunteering, philanthropy, etc.)I have been involved previously with the Alumni Association in both the Real Test Project, campus recruiting, and job fairs both on and off campus for a number of years.Please list any other community/civic involvement or leadership activities.I am currently serving as Post Commander of our local VFW Post here in Madison, CT. Previous volunteer activities include; six years on the Madison BOE, troop chairman of the Boy Scout Troop, Membership on church boards, and various services on local committees and commissions in the Madison community.

Owner, KJ EnterprisesWhy do you want to serve on the Board? What skill set or characteristic do you possess and how will it benefit the Association?I lived across from the college for 55 years. My paternal grandfather was class of 1929 and a member of the Board for the Law School until his passing. My father was director of evening contract maintenance. I worked on campus before I became a student here. While at school, I played club football for 2 years. I also helped with scoring and announcing for the Hockey Club. I worked 2 jobs to pay for school, 1 as a student assistant for Prof. Hank Bazan.How have you been involved with the University as an alumnus? (e.g. events, volunteering, philanthropy, etc.)I have taken part in 5 of the last 6 Real Tests for Senior Mgt. Students. I also helped to create and host 3 Club Football Alumni events for Homecomings. I do attend Homecoming and Alumni Events to keep abreast of what is going on, on campus.Please list any other community/civic involvement or leadership activities.I have served as an Adult Mentor with the Westover Young Marines, since 1998. They are part of an International Drug Demand Reduction program, sponsored by the Marine Corps League.

What skill set or characteristic do you possess and how will it benefit the Association?I'm a proud alumni, and I am indebted to the University for the impact it has had on my education, my confidence, and my varied career path that has included great development opportunities at startups as well as at global corporations. It would be an honor for me to serve and a rewarding way for me to give back to the university. I am passionate about supporting my fellow alumni and current WNE students and that passion, coupled with my leadership skills, are what would benefit the Association.How have you been involved with the University as an alumnus? (e.g. events, volunteering, philanthropy, etc.)I am heavily involved with events/volunteering with the Business School, Sport Management and Athletic Departments. I have spoken to first year students in Kara Kapinos classes, I am a panelist on our Careers in Sport Panel/Symposium, I am very active with the Womens Athletic Alumni Council and athletic alumni events, I have participated in the Monday Mentors program, and I have come in to speak/worked with students in Dr. Covell's Sport Marketing class on a sponsorship project.Please list any other community/civic involvement or leadership activities.In addition to what's listed above, I've also served as a contact for job search/career advice to current students and alum at WNE and at Notre Dame Academy, Worcester, MA.

Director of Digital Strategy, MassLive MediaI have over a decade of marketing experience in leadership roles. Over the last several years I have concentrated on all facets of digital marketing. I believe I can be helpful in helping to steer the outreach efforts of the association to potentially unengaged alumni.I have volunteered in and out of the classroom since I graduated in 2009, mainly through the College of Business. I have participated in 3 Day Startup, which is a WNE led event at Venture Valley Mentors. I also speak twice a year in marketing classes for Harlan Spotts. In the fall of 2017, I hosted an Alumni Feedback forum at MassLive in association with Advancement and the College of Business. Lastly, I was asked to teach a course as an adjunct professor in 2012, teaching Entrepreneurship.Please list any other community/civic involvement or leadership activities.Most of my community involvement is with WNE. However, I have been involved as a speaker at the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce

Executive Director, Ernst & Young LLPI am currently serving as Chairman of the College of Business Board of Advisors with Dean Kleine and I would like to expand my focus in assisting in the development of the Alumni network with respect to giving and other matters of priority to the Alumni Association.In addition to the above I also participate in Mentor Monday's in support of the college of business. I have also established the Steven J. Tremblay Endowed Scholarship in memory of Roger R. Tremblay to support business school students.Please list any other community/civic involvement or leadership activities.After 15 years working at UTC I joined the firm and now have been working there for over 16 years achieving Executive Director in 2011. In 2014, I was recognized by the firm for "Inclusive Leadership Matters".
