The 2013 Teaching Excellence Award

Here is your opportunity to nominate that full-time undergraduate faculty member for the 2013 Teaching Excellence Award.

The 2013 Teaching Excellence Committee invites you to nominate a current member of the full-time undergraduate faculty from the list below who best exemplifies excellence in teaching and campus leadership. The nominee must have made a distinct difference in the teaching climate of the University through:

•Model classroom teaching

The Committee will consider all nominations; however, because a full-time faculty member cannot receive this award more than once, we have listed the names of the full-time faculty who have previously received this award. The award will be presented to this year’s recipient at the Academic Honors Convocation to be held Friday, May 17, 2013. This winner will receive $1,000 from the University; a medal; and his/her name will be added to the plaque, which displays the names of all past recipients of this award. The plaque is located in D’Amour Library.

Submit your nomination and provide the Committee with your written statement supporting your nomination. Please provide your name, year of graduation and your major. Consider the areas in the bulleted list above as you prepare your statement. Nominations not accompanied by a written statement cannot be considered by the Committee.
