Small Business Workshop at Law and Business Center for Advancing Entrepreneurship
The Western New England College Law and Business Center for Advancing Entrepreneurship will offer an information session on "The Business of Being on the Web" on Thursday, November 13. The session runs from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Scibelli Enterprise Center's SEC Training room, 1 Federal Street, Springfield. The session is free and open to the public.
Online business is a way to increase sales and eliminate overhead. However, greater reach also creates greater exposure to fraud, security breaches, and intellectual property issues. This session is designed to educate entrepreneurs on how to protect themselves while maximizing profits in cyberspace. Presenters will include Donald Ghostlaw from the Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Maurice Brown, CEO of Vox Novus Media.
The Western New England College Law and Business Center for Advancing Entrepreneurship was established to provide graduate business and law students with an opportunity to offer practical consultation to entrepreneurs starting new or building existing small businesses in the community.
