The Western New England College School of Law launched its new Color of Law Roundtable Discussion Series on January 17 with a talk by Alesia Days, Associate City Solicitor for the City of Springfield. A 1999 graduate of the School of Law, Days spoke about her career path that led her to the city's Law Department and gave some insight to how difficult it was to not only have a private practice but to ultimately leave that practice to join the City Solicitor's Office. At the conclusion of her speech, Days opened the floor to questions and comments which allowed those in attendance to start up an open discussion with Days.
The Color of Law series is designed to expose Western New England College law students to attorneys, professionals, and judges of color from the surrounding area. Days was the first of four speakers to take part in the Color of Law Roundtable Discussion which will be held throughout the semester.
