Welcome to the College of Business
International. Collaborative. Experiential.
At the Western New England University College of Business, we provide our students with an education that is international, collaborative, and experiential. At both the undergraduate and graduate levels, this perspective is integrated into our business programs to prepare our students to become multidimensional business leaders.
AACSB International: The World Standard in Business Accreditation
Our international perspective begins with our accreditation. Western New England University is the only private institution in western Massachusetts accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business—AACSB International. In fact, less than 5% of business programs worldwide have met this benchmark of quality.Expanding Your Worldview
In today’s global economy, students must view business activities with an international focus. Our business curricula presents opportunities to study foreign economies, cultures, and business models. Business students are also encouraged to study abroad through our short-term and semester long travel programs such as the Sophomore Experience Abroad offered at London’s Richmond University or trips to destinations such as the Beijing Olympics or FIFA World Cup provided through the Center for International Sport Business. Our International Business Breakfast series invites international business experts to lecture on campus each semester.A Focus on Team-building and Collaboration
Today’s economy and the New Media demand collaboration within industries and across them. Exciting new alliances are the result. That’s why team-building and leadership development are an essential part of our business programs that span across every major. Within our five schools, the University offers cross-disciplinary programs such as our JD/MBA or MSA programs and courses such as our Product Innovations course which pairs business and engineering student teams to develop and market new products.Internships, Board Membership, and Consultation Experience
Every business student has opportunities to gain experience in business environments through our powerful internship network. Others choose year-long field experiences as working members of boards of directors for area nonprofits. Throughout their studies, students have opportunities to collaborate on projects for regional businesses, often with business alumni.
