International Programs

With an increasingly global perspective, today's business professionals must be well informed about international politics, business trends, cultural business practices, and economic factors. Every year the College of Business hosts the annual International Business program. A variety of presentations from worldwide business leaders gives students insight into a diverse range of topics shaping commerce around the world.

International Business Travel Courses

The College of Business has dramatically increased the opportunities allotted to students to gain firsthand experience through overseas travel courses. These two to three week ventures include visits to local businesses, lectures from international business leaders, and personal interaction with working businesses in other countries. Trips take place during school vacation periods and are preceded by courses on campus during the semester. Recent destinations included Prague, South Africa, Ireland, Spain, England, and China.

London Calling!

Through the London Semester Abroad Program, first year students in the College of Arts and Sciences and sophomores in the College of Business can spend a semester at London's Regent's University in a unique semester-long program that focuses on international commerce. Students will take a combination of courses taught by Western New England University and Regent’s University faculty. Best of all, the costs are the same as living and studying on campus—including airfare.

Game On!

Sport is one of the biggest industries in the world. The Center invites sport figures from around the world to speak on campus. It also sponsors seminar trips to international sporting events such as the Olympics Games and the FIFA World Cup. Next stop—the 2016 Games in Rio!

Expand Your Worldview

Distinguish yourself on campus and beyond as a member of the Global Scholars program in the College of Business. This unique opportunity offers students in good standing in any business major the personal and career advantages of a global orientation through targeted coursework, international travel/study experiences, and enhanced networking opportunities.

Explore the World Over Coffee

The International Business Breakfast Series brings globally-focused experts to campus as an enrichment activity for business students and the local business community. The series is cosponsored by the College of Business and the World Affairs Council of Western Massachusetts.

Each International Business Breakfast is open to the general public. All events are held in Rivers Multi-Purpose Arena with breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and the guest speaker at 8:30 a.m. Members of the public who wish to attend should register on the World Affairs Council website (http://worldaffairscouncil.com/).
