Teaching Excellence Award

The Teaching Excellence Award is granted to a full time faculty member chosen from the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, or Engineering who best exemplifies excellence in teaching and campus leadership. Recipients are chosen based on making a distinct difference in the teaching climate of Western New England University  in one or more of the following:

  • Model teaching
  • Pioneering teaching methods
  • Campus leadership
  • Creative course development or instructional support

Nominations are collected from the campus community and the recipient is chosen by a committee consisting of three students, three alumni, and three faculty members (previous award recipients). Recipients are granted this award at Commencement ceremonies each year.
