The Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is a resource for small business development in the Pioneer Valley region. Combining the resources of the University’s Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Pharmacy and the School of Law, the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship offers personal, professional assistance to entrepreneurs in the business startup stage, free of charge through the Small Business Clinic and community outreach events.

Western New England University School of Law and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will present a cutting-edge program highlighting current issues in privacy, data security, and cybersecurity law on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 4-7PM in Room B at the School of Law. The panel will discuss current and evolving legal, insurance, and regulatory trends affecting this rapidly-changing area of law.  The speakers will identify the emerging issues to follow in 2015 and will discuss the concerns that keep them awake at night.

For law students and practitioners not yet involved in the field, the speakers will also share how they came to practice in this area, and offer suggestions on how to gain experience and pursue a career in privacy, data security and/or cybersecurity. As part of this discussion, the panel will note available training and certification programs at IAPP to increase your profile and build your knowledge.  The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.  The program will be held at Western New England University School of Law, Room B, 1215 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA 01119.
