Extreme Business Makeover: Restaurant Edition
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship hosted Extreme Business Makeover: Restaurant Edition on June 6 at the Bing Arts Center. The event featured Elke Bosshart from Elke's Bake Shop who discussed her business plan with a panel of industry experts and received feedback in front of a live audience. The panelists included Owner and CEO of Log Cabin and Delaney House Peter Rosskothen, Owner of Inspired Marketing Jill Monson, Case Manager for the University of Connecticut Office of Diversity and Equity Arnold Lizana, Esq., and Kara Rescia, Esq., Business and Bankruptcy Attorney, Partner for Eaton & Rescia LLP, and Co-owner of Touch of Garlic Inc.
In addition to the panel discussion, the event featured a "Taste of the X" which featured samples from local restaurants including Typical Sicilian Ristorante, A Touch of Garlic, Bueno Y Sano, Sal's Bakery and Cafe, Gus and Paul's, and Elke's Bake Shop.
