Computational modeling and simulation of metamaterials that exhibit extraordinary wave bearing properties such as cloaking, super-lensing, negative refraction, enhanced transmission of sound, etc. Design of Luneburg lens, GRIN lens, negative index lens, etc.
Design of cloaking devices devices that can render an object “invisible” in both acoustic & elastic media. Design of active and passive cloaking devices.
Acoustic-structure and solid-structure interactions, and wave propagation in structures and mechanical systems including multiple scattering effects, non-reciprocity, anisotropy, heterogeneity, and Willis coupling.

Development of efficient models for dynamic material characterization of ultrasonic elastic scattering and study the feasibility of using ultrasound to nondestructively evaluate the properties of fiber interfaces.
