PROFESSOR FREEMAN ORGANIZES AND MODERATES PANEL AT THE 43RD ANNUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COLLECTIVE BARGAINING IN HIGHER EDUCATION AND THE PROFESSIONS

Professor Harris Freeman, who is a Massachusetts Commonwealth Employment Relations Board member, organized and moderated a panel at the 43rd Annual National Conference on Collective Bargaining in Higher Education and the Professions, held at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. The panel included Wilma Liebman, Visiting Scholar, Rutgers University, School of Management and Labor Relations and former NLRB Chairman, Joe Ambash, Fisher & Phillips LLP, and Paula Voos, Associate Dean and Director, Undergraduate and Master's Programs in Labor and Employment Relations, Rutgers University. The panel addressed whether the National Labor Relations Act and the NLRB will permit graduate students and graduate researchers to organize unions and engage in collective bargaining.
