PROFESSOR FREEMAN TESTIFIES BEFORE U.S. SENATE COMMITTEE

Professor Harris Freeman was invited to testify before the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, which held a hearing to address the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) recent ruling on joint employer status and the impact it would have on small business. Professor Freeman's testimony defended the NLRB's 2015 ruling in Browning Ferris Industries of California, which makes it easier for workers in the temporary staffing industry and franchised fast-food restaurants to join labor unions and engage in collective bargaining.
