WNE School of Law Teams Ranked 7th in the Nation at ABA Negotiation Finals
Our First and Second place negotiation teams from the recent ABA regionals (held November 2016 at CONN) have returned from the ABA National Negotiation Competition, held at ABA headquarters in Chicago, Friday and Saturday, February 3-4. We were the only law school with two teams in the competition: Thomas Holman & Joseph Masse and Matthew Minniefield & Kimberly Roche, first- and second-place finishers, respectively, at last November's regional competition. The teams had the crucial support of our regional third-place team, Egzon Beha & Rachna Khanna. According to the coach, Professor Rene Reiche-Graefe, “Kim, Matt, Joseph and Thomas cleared the two-preliminary-rounds hurdle beautifully (and with their scores tied) and, thus, landed us with two teams representing Western New England University in the semifinal round of 16 teams. When the dust settled on the semifinals, both of our teams were tied again, namely, as the seventh-best negotiation teams in the country in 2016-17!!!” A hearty Congratulations to the teams for representing us so well! To Professor Reiche-Graefe for the excellent preparation of our teams and special thanks to the coaches and supporters involved.
