Learning Beyond the Classroom
The Office of Learning Beyond the Classroom supports the Center for Civic Engagement and the Learning Beyond the Classroom requirement.
Learning Beyond the Classroom (LBC) is a General Education Requirement that provides opportunities for students to apply the theories and concepts they learn in the classroom to authentic life situations: athletic fields, the workplace, the community, and across the campus.

LBC Graduation Deadlines:
April 27, 2012--applications submitted to the LBC Office
May 4, 2012--completed and approved LBC papers must be sent electronically by Faculty/Staff Sponsor to Adina Elfant adina.elfant@wne.edu
The Department also fosters community service efforts at the University through the Center for Civic Engagement, enabling students to build relationships in the community, learn about important social issues, and become engaged civic leaders.
