How Does It Work?
If you find a book or article (or even a chapter of a book) that you would like to use for your research, but D’Amour Library does not have access to it, we will get it for you from another library. Simply click on the “request through ILL” link when searching the databases for articles, or submit an Interlibrary Loan request form.
How Long Does It Take?
Usually, we can get you your articles anywhere from one to three business days, but books take one week (sometimes two weeks) because they have to be shipped.
How Much Does It Cost? And Who Can Use This Service?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is only available to current Western New England University students, staff, and faculty. There is no charge for this service.
How Do I Start?
Simply fill out the request form and then watch your email! All articles and book chapters are usually sent in digital format (usually a PDF) to the email address that you put on the request form. If you don’t get your article or book chapter within a few days, check your junk folder and/or contact the ILL department at email@example.com. If you’ve requested a book, you will receive an email when it is ready to be picked up at the D’Amour Library circulation (front) desk and when it is due back.
