The Western New England University chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will host its annual Spring Car, Truck, and Bike Show Sunday, April 2, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Sleith Hall parking lot. The event is free for all visitors.
The cost for entering cars and trucks is $10, and $5 for motorcycles. All makes, models, and years are eligible. The cost for a student entering any vehicle in the competition is only $5. Prizes will be awarded in 10 categories, and food and drinks will be provided along with entertainment.
The car, truck, and bike show is a fundraiser to assist with travel costs to the annual ASME conference in April. “We are taking five students this spring to a regional ASME robot competition in Tennessee,” says ASME student President Joseph Letendre, “We will attend ASME seminars, meet other engineering students, and compet in some tough competitions.”
