Western New England University College of Business  Professional Educator Tara Corthell recently inducted 26 Accounting and Finance students into the University Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi National Honor Society. The Induction ceremony was held on April 26 at Leone's Resturant in Springfield. Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is a national honor society for financial information students and professionals with more than 300 chapters on college campuses and more than 300,000 members.

“It is uplifting and comforting to be surrounded by peers as we accompany each other on the path to success,” remarked junior Chloe Cincotta. “I am honored to be inducted into the Beta Alpha Psi National Honor Society and grateful for this opportunity.”

“The College of Business faculty are thrilled to have so many students inducted into Beta Alpha Psi this year,” explained Professional Educator Tara Corthell. “I am honored to be the faculty advisor for an honor organization that recognizes the hard work and dedication that our students put into their academics.”

The goal of this society is to encourage and recognize scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance, and information management, providing opportunities for self-development, association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.
