The 2009 Alumni Association Elections: Seven Chosen for Board of Directors Positions

Lilliam Guerra-Tanantino ’01 (Secretary) and Grant Ritter ’05 (Advancement Committee Chair) headlined a group of seven newly elected members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors during the organization’s recent annual elections.
Steven Daigneau ’93/G’04, Adam Salerno ’05, and Dawn Whitney ’75 joined the Board of Directors as Members-at-Large. Gary Cromack ’80/ G’02 and Randy Milou ’03/L’06 were re-elected as Members-at-Large. In addition, Olalekan Adeoyin ’09 will serve as a One-year Alumni Trustee.
Guerra-Tarantino, a former member of the Alumni Association’s Homecoming Committee, is a senior analyst, military programs and customer support, at United Technologies Corporation-Pratt & Whitney.
Ritter is a former member of the Alumni Association’s Nominating Team, Advancement Committee, and Young Alumni Program, as well as a former Member-at-Large. He is a marketing analyst for the MassMutual Financial Group.
Daigneau, a risk management professional, was most recently a resolutions coordinator for Sun Life Financial. Salerno is a senior manager at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Whitney is a quality assurance specialist of technology for both The Hartford Financial Services Group and Hartford Technology Services Company.
Cromack, a current Member-at-Large, has also served on the Grants Committee and the Royalty Program. He is president and CFO Cromack Industries, Inc.
Milou is also a current Member-at-Large, and has headed the Alumni Association’s Merchandising Project for the past year. An attorney, he is a solo practitioner at the Law Offices of Randy J. Milou.
Adeoyin, known as “Lincoln,” is a 2008 Skookum Award of Excellence winner. He was the recipient of the Grand Skookum Award, the highest honor of the awards. He was also the student speaker at the 2009 undergraduate Commencement ceremony.
“I congratulate the election winners, and I want to remind alumni that it is never too early to consider volunteering for next year’s Alumni Association Board of Directors,” says Alumni Association President Nelson.
