Posted June 4, 2009

cirquegifThrough a partnership with Cirque du Soleil, Western New England College alumni can purchase tickets to the upcoming area performances of Alegria before they go on sale to the general public. Alegria will be staged at the Mullins Center in Amherst, MA September 16-20.

The themes of Alegria, whose name means “jubilation” in Spanish, are the abuse of power and the subsequent struggle for freedom. Alegria has toured around the world, and the show’s soundtrack remains the best selling Cirque du Soleil album to date.
