Western New England College Alumni Facebook Website Membership Passes the 1,000 Mark

The College’s alumni Facebook site recently reached a milestone: our 1,000th member. At a time when online social networking continues to grow exponentially (250 million Facebook users worldwide), we have provided a number ways to reconnect with your classmates and your alma mater on the web.
The Facebook site, a hub for all Alumni Association events and activities, is one of several new initiatives set into motion by the Office of Alumni Relations. The College’s alumni LinkedIn site has more than 900 members, and our new Alumni2Alumni online forum is a way for alumni to communicate with each other in a secure environment.
When we started the alumni Facebook site in 2007, it had a small membership base, but it soon started to grow in leaps and bounds.
LinkedIn, the top professional networking site in the world, is also a great way for Western New England College alumni to find one another, stay in touch, and make professional contacts.
On Alumni2Alumni, alumni can post messages ranging from job opportunities to summer house rentals to reunion announcements.
Western New England University is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England University serves 3,700 students, including 2,550 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Pharmacy, and School of Law.
