Advancement Staff Brings Holiday Joy to a Local Family through Donations and a Special Delivery

The Office of Advancement recently “adopted” a local family for the holidays, donating toys and kitchenware through Springfield’s Open Pantry Community Services, Inc., which provides services to disadvantaged families. The donated items, pictured with Advancement staff, were given to the family on December 22.
“It was great to see their smiling faces,” says Kristina Oleksak, associate director of advancement events. “The family was so appreciative, and it was a great feeling to deliver the gifts in person.”
Western New England University is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England University serves 3,700 students, including 2,550 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Pharmacy, and School of Law.
