Outbreak of Falcons Fever Brings Alumni and Friends to MassMutual Center for an Exciting Afternoon of Hockey

Posted March 10, 2010

postfalcons10gifOn March 28 more than 100 alumni, staff, faculty, students, family and friends gathered to watch the Springfield Falcons play the Albany River Rats during Western New England College Day at the MassMutual Center.

The afternoon began with a pre-game reception (Falcons Fever T-shirts were given to all reception attendees), photo opportunities with the Golden Bear and Screech mascots, and souvenir toss-outs from the College’s hockey team. The day ended with a free skate. See our photo album/slide show of the event. View the video!

Although the Falcons lost the game, 5-1, a fun time was had by all. President Anthony S. Caprio kicked off the festivities with the traditional puck drop, and the ROTC Color Guard presented the U.S. flag for the pre-game National Anthem.
