External-Scholarships

Many scholarship, fellowship and financial assistance programs are available to deserving students through local and national groups and organizations. Below is a list of some external scholarship programs that might be of interest to students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Student Fellowship: Paid ten week internships in managed care pharmacy are awarded to students who have a demonstrated interest in managed care pharmacy practice. Nine weeks are spent at one of seven managed care sites across the country in a structured rotation under the supervision of a pharmacist-preceptor; the tenth week is spent at Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Foundation headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. Connecticut Pharmacists Foundation

Four $1,000 scholarships are available to PY-2, PY-3, and PY-4 Connecticut residents enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy program. Additional information is available here.
