The Admissions Counselor for the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will execute recruitment initiatives for the University’s health professional programs (Doctor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Occupational Therapy).  The Admissions Counselor will collaborate with undergraduate science and pre-health faculty at regional and national colleges/universities to promote the health professions programs offered at the University, and identify and recruit qualified prospective students for admission to the WNE Health Professions Programs.

Chair and Professor of Pharmacy Practice

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Western New England University invites applications and nominations for the position of Department Chair for Pharmacy Practice. The position offers an exciting opportunity to build an integrated and innovative student-centered academic program. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, housed in the Center for the Sciences and Pharmacy, enrolls 75 professional students per year into the Pharm.D. program.

This individual should have an earned Pharm.D. degree and residency/fellowship experience. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and group communication skills, demonstrated academic leadership ability, a record of scholarly works, a desire to create a culture of academic success, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Prior leadership/management experience is strongly preferred but not required. Candidates must be eligible for appointment at the associate or professor level.

Clinical Assistant / Associate Professor

This 12-month position in the area of Acute Care at the Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor level offers an exciting teaching opportunity in an integrated and innovative learner-centered academic program. This candidate should possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching, service, and scholarship. The successful candidate will be responsible for didactic and/or laboratory-based teaching and the development of a practice site at Mercy Medical Center based on their area of expertise and hospital need. These could include transitions of care, medical and surgical care, and respiratory care, to name a few. Mercy Medical Center is an acute-care, community hospital located in Springfield, MA offering a wide range of services. The hospital plans to start medical and pharmacy residency programs in 2018 to become a community-based, teaching hospital.

Clinical Instructor of Pharmacy

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Western New England University seeks an energetic, experienced, and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Clinical Instructor of Pharmacy. This individual will help design, prepare, teach, and facilitate weekly group discussions/ clinical cases and provide guidance and assistance to learners in multiple laboratory and/or didactic classes. This is an opportunity to work an academic contract (9/10 months) with summers off and teach from areas of experience in the field of pharmacy.
