Chair and Professor of Pharmacy Practice

The College of Pharmacy at Western New England University invites applications and nominations for the position of Department Chair for Pharmacy Practice. The position offers an exciting opportunity to build an integrated and innovative student-centered academic program. The College of Pharmacy, housed in the Center for the Sciences and Pharmacy, enrolls 75 professional students per year into the Pharm.D. program.

This individual should have an earned Pharm.D. degree and residency/fellowship experience. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and group communication skills, demonstrated academic leadership ability, a record of scholarly works, a desire to create a culture of academic success, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Prior leadership/management experience is strongly preferred but not required. Candidates must be eligible for appointment at the associate or professor level.

Clinical Assistant / Associate Professor

This 12-month position in the area of Internal Medicine at the Assistant or Associate Professor level offers an exciting teaching opportunity in an integrated and innovative learner-centered academic program. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching and scholarship. Applicants must have a Pharm.D. degree, completed a post-doctoral residency OR a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a health care setting and be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Prior experience as a faculty member at a school/college of pharmacy is desirable, as is demonstrated strength in teaching. The successful candidate will be required to conduct practice site development and maintenance; direct patient-centered care; teach in area of expertise; precept learners; conduct scholarly activity; and perform service to the College/University, community, and clinical site.
