Commuter Students & Off Campus Housing

Commuter Students

At Western New England University, we recognize that commuter students face different challenges during college than do students who live in the residence halls, which is why we offer Commuter Student Programs & Resources through the Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development.

The mission of Commuter Student Programs & Resources is to enhance the collegiate experience of all commuter students through programs and services designed to provide them with information, resources, and opportunities unique to the commuter student population.

As a commuter student, you are encouraged to attend and participate to the fullest in Western New England programs, services, and traditions. Depending on your schedule, you'll stay on campus and study, work on group projects, attend afternoon seminars/activities, or you'll go home. To take advantage of all the opportunities that the university offers, you'll need to make an effort to return to campus to enjoy evening and weekend activities.

We are here to assist you...our commuters!

Commuter Connection Luncheons

The Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development and Academic Success Center offer monthly Commuter Connection Luncheons for our students to connect with their fellow Golden Bear Commuters while enjoying a free lunch. These luncheons take place on specified dates at 12:30 p.m. in Rivers Memorial Hall.
