Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, University-sponsored faculty-led study abroad programs are on hold. We look forward to the return of a robust travel program schedule at WNE.
The opportunity to both travel and study can be a life-changing experience. It will leave you with a firsthand understanding of our increasingly global society, an appreciation for other cultures and their business and political institutions, and often with improved foreign language skills. International travel can make you a stronger candidate for graduate school and a more marketable employee for today's increasingly global workforce.
Western New England University offers traditional semester-long programs at universities around the world and our own unique faculty-led short seminar travel courses.
Faculty-led Short-term Travel Courses
Short seminar travel courses (typically 7-10 days) can be an eye-opening, career building experience. Recent faculty-led travel courses have visited such destinations as Brazil, China, Guatemala, Czech Republic, England, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Nicaragua, Peru, and Spain. Where can our professors take you?
Game On—The Center for International Sport Business
Sport is one of the biggest industries in the world. The Center sponsors seminar trips to international sporting events. Past travel courses have journed to the Olympic Games in Beijing, London and Rio de Janeiro; and the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Brazil, and Russia. As the sport industry continues to grow, future trips will include more event sites abroad, new sports, and an unparalleled experience.
Fairs and Info Sessions
At the beginning of each semester, the University offers a Study Abroad Fair where you can learn about study at universities around the globe and our own travel courses and sponsored opportunities. Throughout the year, professors hold information sessions about their individual travel courses.
