On-campus Vaccine Clinics
Updated Thursday, April 29, 2021
To the Members of the University Community:
As we return to a more normal campus life in Fall 2021, to protect everyone’s health and safety all students and employees are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19 upon return to campus in the fall. In light of recent expert guidance regarding recommendations to mandate vaccines at colleges and universities, further information will be forthcoming about the University’s position on this matter in the coming month.
We have good news to share. To make it easier for students and employees who need the vaccine to get them, the University has contracted with CVS to offer on-campus vaccine clinics. The clinics will occur in Rivers on Monday, May 3 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 4 from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Information on how to register will be forthcoming from the VP of Student Affairs in the next day. Once an individual receives their first vaccine at this clinic, they will receive guidance from a CVS employee as to where they can receive their second vaccine shot at the most convenient CVS location.
Students and employees can also receive a free COVID test at the same time and know the results prior to leaving the campus at the end of the week.
More information will be forthcoming regarding the COVID vaccine. Questions requiring immediate answers may be addressed to the COVIDVAC@wne.edu email address.
I encourage as many people as possible to participate in our free, on-campus clinic next week.
Respectfully,
Robert E. Johnson, Ph.D
