Human Resources Update, February 26, 2021

Updated February 26, 2021

Dear Colleagues,

After receiving the recent communication about the increase in COVID cases on campus, you may have questions and concerns.

The University has been operating in a COVID environment for almost a year. We have worked together as a community and have had excellent results in terms of low case numbers on campus. It is important to remember that even though the case numbers have increased among a specific student population, mitigation strategies will continue to protect you from becoming infected with COVID. We are now experienced in managing COVID-19 on campus and we have a solid plan.

Out of an abundance of caution, new temporary safety measures have been implemented. These measures include a quarantine of Windham Hall residents and moving all undergraduate and graduate courses to online delivery through March 5, 2021. Windham Hall residents will be tested and the results will be received no later than Sunday, February 28, 2021. When test results are received, decisions will be made about how to proceed in terms of alert level and the implementation of additional safety measures.

Thank you for your continued vigilance in protecting yourself and all community members as we continue to navigate through this pandemic.

Please contact me with any specific questions.
