The Center for Nanomanufacturing and Nanomedicine is a research and education center based at Western New England University.
Our mission is to foster cross-disciplinary research and bring together most recent advances in nanomanufacturing and nanomedicine to promote their clinical applications. We also provide research training to students and pharmacy researchers to broaden the social and economic impact of nanotechnologies for medical applications.Research focuses:

Dr. Jingzhou (Frank) Zhao
Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
Jingzhou (Frank) Zhao is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Western New England University. His research focus is on the establishment of novel manufacturing processes, theoretical models, computational methods, and control strategies for the high-volume production of structured nanomaterials and advanced sensors.
Dr. Shusen Sun
Director of International Pharmacy Programs
Shusen Sun is a Clinical Associate Professor at Western New England University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Sun was a research scientist at Pfizer prior to his pharmacy career and received his Pharm.D. from Creighton University. His research interests are in the areas of global pharmacy education and training, medication and patient safety, and individualized pharmacotherapy. Dr. Sun is currently serving as an Associate Editor to Drug Evaluation (a Chinese pharmacy journal), and an Editorial Board Member to the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy. He is also an executive member of the Chinese Pharmacological Society-Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Committee.
