Get Inspired in Our Re-Engineered Learning Environment
The $12.8 million expansion and renovation of Sleith Hall, home to the College of Engineering, has created a rich environment that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship. New labs, classrooms, and opportunities to expand green technology both for systems operations and research are part of the forward-leaning design. The additions include Civil Engineering labs, a green engineering lab, and the new Biomedical Hospital Suite, which simulates a medical environment.
Our Labs Are Open to You from Day One
From the start of your first semester, you will be in our labs working on modern equipment. All of our laboratory space is designed for undergraduate use. This gives you access that you may not find at larger institutions where many undergraduates are limited to large lecture halls during their first two years. Here you will be an active learner, applying the theories you learned in the classroom yesterday to lab projects today. If you need to log some extra hours to finish a design project or conduct potentially revolutionary research, our labs are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to midnight—a level of access that fits everyone’s schedule.
