Professor Myra Orlen's Recent Achievements

In August, Professor Orlen served on a panel at the Mindfulness in Law Schools conference (a two-day conference held concurrently with the 2017 Conference of Southeastern Association of Law Schools) in Boca Raton, Florida.  She served on a panel devoted to Mindfulness in Legal Writing and spoke on Mindfulness in Academic Support. 

In addition, Professor Orlen is a consulting mediator with The Mediation and Training Collaborative (TMTC) and continues to serve as a pro bono mediator in the on-site mediation program which serves Hampshire, Franklin, and Hampden Probate Courts.  The on-site programs are run through TMTC and provides two-hours of free mediation services to parties in the courts served.  

Professor Orlen was also invited to join the panel of pro bono attorney/mediators serving in the Family Resolution  Specialty Court (FRSC) of the Hampshire Probate Court.  The FRSC program is the first of its kind in the U.S. Read article here.
