Laura Fisher '15 and Bryon Harmon '96 publish article in ACTEC Journal

Laura A. Fisher ’15 (Director of Career Services) recently co-authored and published a law review article with Bryon W. Harmon '96. Attorney Harmon is a partner in the Trusts and Estates practice group at Shipman & Goodwin, LLP in Hartford and Greenwich, Connecticut. The article, entitled "THE PRUDENCE OF PASSIVITY: An Argument for Default Passive Management in Trust Investing” was published in The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Law Journal, Vol. 44, No. 2 (Spring 2019). It traces the historical development of financial scholarship regarding investment practices vis-à-vis trust investment legal scholarship addressing the evolution of fiduciary duties, and reviews the modern prudent investing rules governing trust investment. It explores whether the passive approach is encouraged--or even required--by law.
