Western New England University will host an information session for prospective students of the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program on Tuesday, January 29. The session runs from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the occupational therapy pediatric lab located in the Blake Law Center.

During the information session, faculty and staff from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will provide information about the program, including the curriculum, field work opportunities, and admissions process. These representatives will also answer questions that prospective students may have. An optional campus tour will be offered prior to the information session at 1:00 p.m., departing from the Kevin S. Delbridge Welcome Center.

In 2017, Western New England University became the first institution in western Massachusetts to offer the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree. Students earn their doctorate over the course of nine semesters of study completed in three years. The program combines classroom learning, the development of motor learning and performance laboratory skills, two levels of on-site fieldwork experience, and a Doctoral Experiential Residency.
