Western New England University will be the subject of an upcoming episode of the streaming series "The College Tour" on Amazon Prime Video and is looking to feature several Golden Bears along the way.

Hosted by Emmy-nominated storyteller Alex Boylan, "The College Tour" is a series that highlights universities and colleges across the nation in 30- or 60-minute episodes. These episodes showcase what college life is like at that university and tell some of the unique student stories at each location.

WNE is casting enthusiastic students who are willing to share their take on what life is like as a Golden Bear. Each of the 10 segments for the 30-minute episode will showcase a different student’s unique perspective. Segments may include:

  • Finding Your Why
  • An Entrepreneurial Mindset
  • Customizing Your WNE Academic Experience
  • First Generation Students
  • Inspiring Student Research
  • Meaningful Mentorship
  • Campus Life, Residential Life, and School Spirit
  • Career Preparation and Internships
  • Study Abroad and Learning Outside the Classroom
  • Athletics
  • Social Justice
  • LGBTQIA+ on Campus
  • Student Support Services

Filming for the series will take place in July 2022 and debut in the late fall or early winter. Students who are interested in appearing on camera and sharing their WNE experience can learn more and apply to be featured. The deadline for submissions is June 9, 2022.
