Q:  What is my User ID?

A:  Your User ID is a unique alpha-numeric identifier, that in combination with your password allows you access to email, Connect2U, ASAP, Kodiak and other Western New England University online systems. If you don't know what your User ID is
you can look it up here.


Q:  How do I activate a new account?

A:  Follow these seven steps:
  1. If you don't already know it, get your User ID here.
  2. Go to the change password page.
  3. Read the Acceptable Use Of Technical Resources Policy and click the "I AGREE TO FOLLOW" link at the bottom of the page.
  4. Your initial password, what you enter into the Old Password field, will be a nine digit code supplied to you, usually the number nine(9), the two(2) digit month of your birth, the two(2) digit day of your birth, and the last four(4) digits of your social security number. (ie:9mmddxxxx)
  5. Complete the change password form.
  6. Click the "Change Password" button.
  7. When you receive a "Your password was changed successfully!" message, your account will be activated.



Q:  How do I change my password?

A:  Follow these six steps:
  1. If you don't already know it, get your User ID here.
  2. Go to the change password page.
  3. Read the Acceptable Use Of Technical Resources Policy and click the "I AGREE TO FOLLOW" link at the bottom of the page.
  4. Enter the requested information into the form.
  5. Click the "Change Password" button.
  6. When you receive a "Your password was changed successfully!" message, your account will be activated.



Q:  My password expired. What does this mean?

A:  Don't worry, this is normal. For security reasons your password expires every 14 weeks. All you need to do is change the password to something new and the account will be reactivated.



Q:  I forgot my password, what do I do?

A:  Follow these ten steps:
  1. If you don't already know it, get your User ID here.
  2. You will also need to know either your Student ID, Faculty ID, or Badge ID. Click here for help locating a required ID.
  3. Go to the reset password page.
  4. Read the Acceptable Use Of Technical Resources Policy and click the "I AGREE TO FOLLOW" link at the bottom of the page.
  5. Complete the reset password form.
  6. Click the "Reset Password" button.
  7. If your account had been previously activated, you will next be asked to answer your secret question (otherwise skip to step 9).
  8. Click the "Submit Answer" button.
  9. If successful, you will recieve a "Password Reset Successful!" message. You will also be given a new temporary password and instructions.
  10. You must wait 1 minutes, then change your password from the new temporary password to something else using the change password form. This will allow you to log into Kodiak, email, Connect2U, etc..



Q:  I can't get this to work. Who do I call?

A:  Call the OIT helpdesk at 413-796-2200, or visit the third floor of Churchill Hall, Regular Hours Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Summer hours are Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Q:  Where can I find my User ID?

A:  
You can look it up here.


Q:  Where do I find my Student ID?

A:  Your Student ID can be found printed on bills, degree audits, grades, and on the front of some ID Badges. If it is on your Student ID Badge, your Student ID is printed on the front bottom left corner.


Q:  Where do I find my Badge ID?

A:  Your Badge ID can be found printed directly on the back your Student/Faculty/ Staff ID Badges. If the ID is longer than 5 digits, it may be first or the last 5 digits. You may need to try them both. Badge IDs printed on IDs distributed before 2001 may or may not work for resetting your password.


Q:  Where do I find my Faculty ID (sometimes called an Instructor Number)?

A:  Your Faculty ID can be found on your class roster or on your schedule of classes.
