Dr. Debra Latour, OTD is a registered occupational therapist, Consultant and Owner of Single-Handed Solutions, LLC, providing consulting services to manufacturers, researchers, clinical providers and individuals with upper limb loss/differences. She offers clinical services through her affiliation with Handspring Clinical Services. Dr. Latour graduated from BSOT/Tufts University and earned her M.Ed. (Advanced Practice OT) from Springfield College. She completed the post-professional OT doctoral program at A.T. Still University. Dr. Latour is an active member of the Amputee Coalition and past- chair of the Upper Limb Advisory Council. She is also a member of ACPOC, AAOP, ATA, ACRM and AOTA. Dr. Latour has a congenital upper limb difference, is an active prosthesis-user and shares her experiences and tips through her blog at www.Single-HandedSolutions.blogspot.com. She is the inventor of record of prosthetic technology and methodology including the Cutaneous Anchor Technology (patented) and the TAB (patent-pending), and has authored copyrighted instructional programs as well as a chapter in the recently published Introduction to Orthotics: A Clinical Reasoning & Problem-Solving Approach, 5th Edition (Coppard & Lohman, 2019).

Dr. Latour is currently an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy. Her areas of interest include population health and wellness, inter-professional collaboration, advocacy and policy. Dr. Latour engages learners in the classroom teaching Adults and Aging practice 1 and 3, Evaluation: Occupational Performance and Analysis of Occupation, Population Health 1-4 and Global Leadership.

In her spare time, Debi volunteers in the community, enjoys biking and hiking with her husband, gardening, travel, and socializing with friends and family.
