Beth E. Welch received her B.S. degree in Pharmacy and Doctorate in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy. She completed a residency specializing in Primary Care at the Stratton Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). She completed a fellowship in Academic Leadership through the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
With the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Welch co-directs the professional development program and the integrated curriculum course sequence. She chairs the Academic Standards Committee and is a member of the Academic Affairs Committee and the Student Affairs Committee. She is responsible for assessment, academic standards, curricular oversight, faculty development, and course scheduling and registration.
Prior to coming to Western New England University as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, she directed a post B.S. Pharm.D. program at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and was instrumental in curricular revisions, transitioning curriculum online, and faculty development. Her primary area of expertise has been in teaching and curricular development. Dr. Welch has published and presented nationally in pharmacy practice and education. She has received several awards for teaching excellence and service.
