Kim D. Tanzer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Maryland and her Pharm.D. degree from MCPHS University, Boston. She completed a fellowship in Academic Leadership through the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) in 2014.
As the Assistant Dean for Experiential Affairs/ Associate Professor, and the instructor of record for all experiential courses, Dr. Tanzer is responsible for ensuring that accreditation responsibilities are met, policies and procedures are adhered to, preceptors are developed, and experiential course objectives are accomplished by the students. As the Director of Continuing Education, Dr. Tanzer is responsible for compliance
Locally, Dr. Tanzer serves on the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association (MPhA) Foundation Board, the New England Quality Innovation Network- Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) Advisory Group, and is a member of the Board of Directors/ Vice President for the Western Massachusetts Pharmacists Association. On a national level, Dr. Tanzer has served as an ACPE accreditation site team member as well as serving on various committees within the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
Before joining the administrative team at Western New England University, Dr. Tanzer’s professional experience included an extensive background in institutional, retail, home infusion, and clinical pharmacy, as well as employee management and compliance.
