Dr. McCormick is a Clinical Instructor of Pharmacy Practice. A registered pharmacist in Massachusetts and Connecticut, most recently she worked professionally as an Academic Detailer with Alosa Health in Boston and as a Consultant Pharmacist with PharMerica in Berlin, Connecticut. She has held academic appointments with the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy, UCLA School of Medicine, and the University of Utah. Dr. McCormick received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. She also completed a 2 year fellowship in clinical toxicology at the University of California at San Diego Medical Center. Her primary focus has been Clinical Toxicology/Poison Control. She has studied at, and been employed by, four poison control centers throughout the United States, ascending to the position of Director at the Connecticut Poison Control Center at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut, a position which she held for seven years. In this capacity, she also served as a toxicology consultant on a team of medical toxicologists, having been certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Applied Toxicology.
