Student Accessibility Services Staff

  • Jennifer Brazenall

    Accessibility Coordinator

Hello, I’m Jenny Brazenall, the Student Accessibility Services Accommodations Coordinator. My role within the Student Accessibility Services office is to aid with exam administration, supporting student workers, managing the alternative media requests, and serving as one of the first point of contact for student and family inquires.

I’ve had a wide range of jobs during my life—ranging from an apprenticeship in a bronze foundry, to providing care to the elderly. I’ve also worked in Admissions at Hampshire College and the University of Edinburgh, and I lived in Scotland for nine years. I have three daughters and two granddaughters. I love hiking in the hills of Western Mass and reading dystopian novels (although I never expected to have to live through one). I enjoy working with all the students I’ve met at WNE and look forward to meeting new students.

  • Tynisha Henderson

    Director

Hi all! I’m Tynisha and the Director of Student Accessibility Services. I am a Disney and Star Wars fanatic, but I try to contain myself at work, but if you bring up either topic I am happy to join in! When I am not enjoying Disney, Star Wars, or family time, I can be found on campus supporting students and advocating for student access.

As the Director of Student Accessibility Services, my role involves maintaining responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the office and ensuring that Western New England University students with documented disabilities receive appropriate and reasonable accommodations, consistent with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the American with Disabilities Act, relevant Commonwealth of Massachusetts legislation, and best practices in post-secondary education. I work with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff to provide necessary and reasonable accommodations.
