Film and Media
Courses in film and media studies give students opportunities to write, direct, act, film, and edit their own videos and films. The University provides a variety of internships at The Northampton Independent Film Festival. Film courses offered include the Art of Film, the Haunted Screen, and Documentary Film.
Each semester, trips are offered to both Broadway and off Broadway shows! Students have the opportunity to travel to see shows such as Les Miserables and Wicked or explore other art-related activities, including the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. These trips have a cost associated and tickets are limited. Information is available through the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development as well as on University Posts.
All Western New England University students can visit all of the Springfield Museums free of charge! Interested in taking a trip? Check out the Springfield Museums website to see what they have to offer.
Whether it's a CAB Small concert, Golden Bear Band and Campus Chorus' Spring Showcase, WNEK DJing an event, or a musical guest on campus for Spring Event, music is a large part of life at Western New England!
