Earlier this month, two Western New England University College of Business students, Accounting major David Briganti and Sport Management/Marketing major Rickie Rizos, represented the University’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter at the organization’s Global Leadership Summit in Dallas, TX. Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society of AACSB-accredited business schools, and Briganti and Rizos serve as president and vice president, respectively, of the Western New England University chapter.

During the conference, the students met with Beta Gamma Sigma CEO Chris Carosella, Bernard Milano, president of KPMG, and Doug Wilks, founder of StrengthsQuest, among other prominent business leaders. Briganti and Rizos also took part in a case-study competition, where Briganti’s team advanced to the final round.

Briganti said that he was thrilled to have an opportunity to attend the summit, and is “eager to share new ideas” he gleaned in Dallas, with his chapter’s executive board and members.  Rizos added that both she and Briganti “took advantage of opportunities to leverage their professional networks,” which has been instilled in them by their College of Business professors.

The students’ participation at the conference was made possible by a Beta Gamma Sigma scholarship awarded to the Western New England University chapter for having earned high honors as a chapter of distinction, in addition to support from the Dean’s Office in the College of Business.
