The Department of Pharmacy Practice prepares learners, as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, to provide optimal pharmacy care that will achieve positive outcomes in all patient populations. The department, which consists of a diverse and dynamic group of faculty, strives for excellence in teaching, pharmacy care, research/scholarly activity, and community service. Emphasis is placed on innovative methods to foster critical thinking, new knowledge and practice opportunities, professionalism, and leadership skills in learners needed for life-long learning.

WNE Partners with Springfield International Charter School to Train Nearly 100 Staff in Youth Mental Health First Aid

Nearly 100 student support staff at Springfield International Charter School (SICS) participated in Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training facilitated by WNE with the goal to equip Springfield schools with the skills and resources to recognize and respond to mental health challenges among children and adolescents.

WNE Awarded USDA-NIFA $300K Grant to Advance Research for Alzheimer’s Disease 

WNE announces it has been awarded a $300,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture to pioneer an innovative nutrition-based nanomedicine approach to Alzheimer’s disease.
