Showcases Today's Innovators

Welcome to the 11th Annual Product Innovations Showcase, which is the culmination of a combined business and engineering fall semester course that focuses on product innovation development. Over the past ten years 1,000 students have developed 200 innovations.

The event will take place December 3, 2024 at Western New England University from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Rivers Hall. We hope you can join us, and mark your calendar for this milestone.

AUTOMOTIVE & INDUSTRIAL

  • Adjustable Tube Holder (pitch | demo | poster) provides a fixturing solution for clamping straight pipe and bent tube. By utilizing a telescoping clamping diameter, a wide variety of tube diameters can be held as well as dissimilar diameters. The device is primarily designed for welding applications but can also be used for metrology inspection.

  • Drive Line (pitch | demo | poster) is a differential cover design to provide overall efficiency to the differential on your vehicle. It allows ease of serviceability during repair along with decreased overheating of the differential and monitoring instruments to determine fluid levels and vehicle conditions.

  • Ladder Daddy (pitch | demo | poster) is a durable, weather-resistant strap designed to secure ladders on trucks and vans. It’s easy to use, built for long-term reliability, and helps meet safety requirements for individual users and fleet operations.

  • Ladder Rack Buddy (pitch | demo | poster) is a user-friendly, adjustable load securing strap designed for safely fastening equipment such as ladders to vehicle roof racks. The integrated housing contains a self-tensioning mechanism that maintains consistent strap tension during transport, while also shielding the components from environmental wear and damage.

  • Torque Funnel (pitch | demo | poster) is a clean and hassle-free solution that catches every drop as you remove the drain plug, eliminating spills and mess while making changes faster, cleaner, and smarter. Engineered for convenience and built for control.

  • CleanStream (pitch | demo | posteris an innovative retrofit urinal attachment that prevents splash back and keeps restrooms cleaner. Designed mainly for facility managers and building owners, it installs easily onto existing urinals to reduce cleaning time, lower maintenance costs, and improve the restroom experience for every user.

  • HandiLink (pitch | demo | poster) is an aftermarket solution that activates blue handicap buttons from a distance using a remote. The product is designed to make it easier for mobility device users to get through doors.

  • BioBarrel (pitch | demo | posteris a small-scale commercial in-vessel composting unit, making nutrient-rich soil fast and easy!

  • C3H8 Crate (pitch | demo | poster) is designed to hold a standard 20-pound propane tank in vehicles without tipping over and is simple to use, allowing for convenient, ergonomic transportation. This product is an affordable solution for the average homeowner and eases the burden of propane tank refill errands and storage.

  • EZ-Hook (pitch | demo | poster) is a multi-functional, 2-sided hook for a key chain. It gives customers an option for when they are in a public space and have limited to no option to secure their personal items.

  • Quick Clear (pitch | demo | poster) is a convenient solution to clearing snow and salting at the same time. The purpose of combining both actions of shoveling and salting into one, to reduce injuries, save time and be cost-effective for consumers.

  • Orbit (pitch | demo | posteris a low-cost modular attachment device that tracks disc golf discs using existing technology for a familiar user experience. It is designed to save players time when searching for a lost disc and prevents unnecessary costs in cases where a disc typically cannot be found.

  • Track Meet (pitch | demo | poster) is a high-tech insole equipped with modern pressure sensor technology designed to track your stride, cadence and impact in real time. Using our app, get personalized feedback to improve running form, boost performance, and help prevent injuries.

With its easy setup, scroll-like net, and durable design this product is perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.
